Why Stage Hypnotist Of The Year Award Is Bigger Than Me Or How to Become an "Overnight Success" in Only 30 Easy Years

 

When they called my name for Stage Hypnotist of the Year 2026 at the Performing Hypnosis Summit, I was stunned. The recognition from my peers was overwhelming. I just stood there staring at the award with my name written on it.

But the longer I looked at it, the more I realized something important. This award is way bigger than me.

The trophy represents everyone out there trying to achieve a dream that seems impossible. I see a reflection of the kid doing their very first open mic. The honor stands for everyone grinding away at the one night gigs while driving hours for stage time. This belongs to the pros out there making the impossible happen night after night.

If you know my story, specifically the young kid who had to crawl out of bullying and depression all the way to headlining Hypnosis Unleashed at the Four Queens Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas, you know I didn't get here alone. I didn't climb this mountain solo. I was carried by an amazing group of friends and believers full of love and support. My community made this happen with me.

This award isn't just for a guy who does a comedy hypnosis show. It validates a belief system.

The recognition confirms that you can be hilarious without being hurtful. Proving that making others shine isn't a weakness is actually the gold standard. We are honoring every volunteer who trusted me enough to close their eyes and let go.

When I look at this trophy, I don't see a reflection of myself. I see the mentors who taught me that ethics matter more than ego. The audiences who fill the room Tuesday through Saturday are in there too, proving that people still crave real human connection in a digital world.

To the Performing Hypnosis Summit, thank you for the recognition. My team and my family also deserve a huge thank you for the support. But the volunteers are the real stars.

I’m just the guy lucky enough to hold the trophy for a little while.
